Notes
Recipe from the one and only: Dr. Vasant Lad :).
Now this is what we call: food as medicine
Grounding, hydrating, great for inflammation, and fried nerves.
A classic Ayurvedic recipe for calming down overactive tejas. Think of tejas as your ability to focus, comprehend, your passion, and drive. When increased, you may feel anger, frustration, and a short fuse. You may also notice hives, rashes, skin breakouts, autoimmune diseases, nerve pain, or just general mind/body burn-out.
Hence, you need to cool down - with cucumber milk! Light enough for kapha, cooling for pitta, and creamy enough for vata, tridoshic :).
Best consumed in late spring/ summer when the weather is heating up, cucumbers are in season, and you need to chill-the f-out.
