YOGI TEA

Makes 4-5 cups, Steeps Overnight


INGREDIENTS 

  • 5-6 Whole Cloves

  • 6-8 Peppercorns

  • 5-6 Cardamom Seeds

  • 2 Cinnamon Sticks

  • 1-2 Inches of Fresh Ginger Root (peeled & sliced)

  • 8 Cups Water


DIRECTIONS

  1. Slightly crush the peppercorns & seeds with the back of a knife or mortar and pestle. 

  2. Add all ingredients to water.

  3. Bring to a gentle boil, reduce to a simmer, slightly covered for 1 hour.

  4. Turn off heat, and allow to sit, covered, overnight

  5. Strain herbs and drink.



Notes

  • Great recipe in the fall, winter, or around holiday time (the whole house will smell like Christmas)!

  • Option to serve with a splash of warm plant-based milk to make a creamy latte-like drink.

  • I recommend making a big pot of this so you don't have to make it all the time since it does have to steep overnight.
