APPLE POMEGRANATE CRUMBLE

INGREDIENTS
Fruit Base
3-4 medium apples (Honeycrisp, Gala, or Fuji), peeled, cored, and sliced
Seeds/arils from 1 pomegranate
2 1/2 Tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ginger powder
1/2 tsp nutmeg powder, freshly grated from the seed
Simple Crumble
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup almond flour or all-purpose gluten-free flour blend
1/4 cup coconut sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup melted ghee
DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Mix the fruit: In a large bowl, toss the apple slices, pomegranate seeds, maple syrup, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg powder until evenly coated.
Transfer to baking dish: Spread the fruit mixture in a greased 8×8 pan (or similar).
Make the crumble: In the same bowl, stir oats, flour (or almond flour), sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Pour in the melted ghee and stir until clumps form.
Top and bake: Sprinkle the crumble evenly over the fruit. Bake for 35–40 minutes, until the fruit is bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
Serve warm and enjoy!

This is a very easy-to-make breakfast or dessert that is warm and cozy during cold weather.
