AVOCADO CREMA

Makes 1/2 cup, 5 minutes


INGREDIENTS

  • 1 ripe avocado

  • 1/4 cup coconut milk, full-fat

  • 1 clove garlic, chopped (optional)

  • Juice of 1 whole lime

  • 1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped

  • Salt & pepper to taste



DIRECTIONS

  1. Scoop out the inside of the avocado, remove the seed and place in a small food processor or blender with the other ingredients. Blend until smooth.



Notes

  • Goes great on top of grain bowls, kitchari, burrito bowls, burritos, wraps, sandwiches, or burgers!

  • If kapha, option to substitute another plant milk instead of the coconut milk (check the consistency, start with 2 tbsp then increase if needed) to reduce the fattiness. Also an option to keep the garlic and add freshly ground cumin powder.
