20 brownies, 20 minutes
INGREDIENTS
3/4 cup medjool dates, pitted, chopped
1/3 cup water
1/2 cup almond butter
1 tbsp ground flax seeds
4 tbsp cacao powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cardamom powder, freshly ground
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp balsamic vinegar (optional, omit if sattvic)
1/2 salt 2-3 tbsp dark chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Add the dates and water to a food processor and process until blended into a paste.
Add the remaining ingredients except the chocolate chips and process until combined. The batter should be thick and sticky.
Transfer to a greased 9x9 baking dish.
Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top.
Bake for about 12-15 minutes or until the tops look dry.
Allow to cool before serving, the brownies will firm upon cooling but will still be a fudgy consistency. Enjoy!
