KAPHA DIGESTIVE SPICE MIX

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Tbsp Coriander Seeds

  • 1 Tbsp Cumin Seeds

  • 1 Tsp Fenugreek Seeds

  • 1 Tbsp Ground Ginger

  • 1 Tbsp Ground Turmeric 

  • 1 Tbsp Ground Cinnamon

  • 1 Tbsp Dried Sage Leaves

  • 1 Tsp Ground Cloves

  • 1/2 Tsp Cayenne or Chili Powder


DIRECTIONS

  1. Dry roast the seeds over medium high heat until aromatic, stirring frequently (about 2-3 minutes)

  2. Grind all the ingredients in a spice or coffee grinder to make a uniform powder

  3. Store in glass spice shaker jar

Notes

  • Great spice mix to have around the house during the late winter or spring months. Too spicy for pittas but can be pacifying to both vata and kapha.

  • Use in any savory dish to make it easier to digest.
