OJAS BALLS

20 balls, 10 minutes, lasts 7 days un-refrigerated


INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cup walnuts (can do 1/2 walnuts 1/2 pecans, coconut or pumpkin seed, whatever you have on hand)

  • 2 cup dates, pitted

  • 2 tbsp vanilla extract

  • 4 tbsp hemp seeds

  • 4 tbsp almond butter

  • 2 tsp cardamom powder, freshly ground

  • 1 tsp rose water (optional)

  • 1/2 - 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)

  • 2-3 tbsp dark chocolate chips


DIRECTIONS

  1. Add walnuts/ nuts to food processor and grind into a chunky flour.

  2. Add all of the other ingredients to the food processor and blend until combined

  3. Transfer to a bowl and mix in 2 tbsp chocolate chips. Form into balls and store in a cool dry place.



Notes

  • This recipe will have you licking the bowl.

  • I prefer to store these on my countertop in a cool/ dry place. If you put them in the fridge, it will add more vata to them - making them more difficult to digest and gas forming. They are perfect at room temperature assuming your kitchen is at a moderate temperature.

  • These are a quick little pick me up when you need a snack or a sweet treat :).
