RASA ELIXER

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 cups room temperature water

  • juice of 1/2 medium lime or lemon (add more to taste)

  • 1/2 tsp Himalayan salt or sea salt

  • 1/2 tsp - 1 tsp cane sugar or raw honey


DIRECTIONS

  1. Add all ingredients to a pint glass or quart jar (something large enough to sustain 3 cups of water).

  2. Mix all ingredients using a spoon. Consume immediately at room temperature. Consume when you need extra hydration and electrolytes :).



Notes

  • Great drink to have in any season if you are having a headache, constipation, dehydration, low blood pressure, low blood sugar, light headedness, or dizziness. Is especially useful in the summertime to replenish electrolytes.

  • If pitta, use lime instead of lemon (lime is a little bit more cooling and alkaline).

  • If kapha, use in moderation as the salt in this drink will lead to more water retention in your body. Use honey instead of cane sugar if kapha.
