VATA DIGESTIVE SPICE MIX

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Tbsp Fennel Seeds

  • 1 Tbsp Cumin Seeds

  • 1 Tbsp Ground Turmeric

  • 1 Tbsp Dried Basil

  • 2 Tsp Powdered Ginger

  • 2 Tsp Salt 

  • 1 Tsp Cane Sugar

  • 1 Tsp Fenugreek Seeds 

  • 1 Tsp Asafoetida


DIRECTIONS:

  1. Dry roast the seeds over medium high heat until aromatic, stirring frequently (about 2-3 minutes)

  2. Grind all the ingredients in a spice or coffee grinder to make a uniform powder

  3. Store in glass spice shaker jar

Notes

  • This is a good spice mix to have around during any season but especially the fall and early winter season.

  • Use to season any savory meal to make it easier to digest.
